Holywell Meadows

River Cherwell, Holywell Meadows, Oxford From the cycle path bridge on the right-hand bank in University parks, the fishery extends for about 1200 yards downstream.

Cassington

River Envenlode, Cassingon. This lovely stretch of river is absolutely stunning and is full of features. It has bends, overhanging trees, and reed beds. You’ll find Chub, Roach, Brown Trout, Minnows, Dace, Pike, and even a few Barbel.

River Thames, Duxford

River Thames, Duxford. The specimen hunters amongst our members will enjoy awesome fishing here. This stretch of upper Thames has produced some excellent size Barbel, Carp, and Chub.

Dorchester Lake

Dorchester Lake is situated just off the A4047 and is accessible through Dorchester Villiage via Drayton Road. Historical for its Carp and Tench fishing the lake contains a variety of species and will test the best of anglers.

Malborough pool has been an A&OAA member favourite since it was first rented from the Duke of Malborough in 1948. It’s steeped in history with a claim to being the home of the carp anglers favourite; the hair rig!

River Thames, Pinkhill Lock / Weir, Abingdon. This run of the Thames varies throughout the stretch, but there are good Roach, Chub, Perch, Pike, and Bream to be found all along this stretch.

Martins Lane - Standlake

This attractive mature fishery is located on the edge of Standlake village. The 16-acre site borders farmland. It offers fishing using traditional fly methods and is stocked predominately with rainbow trout. There is ample secure off-road parking on-site and a lodge but at present no toilet facilities.

The Thames here is famous for its Bream shoals and big Chub. You’ll also find some lovely Roach, Perch, Pike, and a few Barbel. In the past, Carp and Tench have also come from here. The Evenlode and Evenlode Canal both hold Chub, Roach, and Perch.
